The Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Chiamaka Nnake, has broken her silence over her alleged involvement as the State Coordinator of the controversial “Made-in-Nigeria Agency,” clarifying that her role was limited to serving as the state’s nominated focal person for an office she understood to be operating under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
Nnake, in a statement issued amid growing public attention over the purported federal agency, said her involvement began in January 2026 when the Anambra State Government received a letter from the “Made-in-Nigeria Office” requesting the nomination of a State Focal Person.
According to her, Governor Chukwuma Soludo subsequently nominated her for the position in February 2026.

She explained that following the nominations, focal persons from the 36 states were added to a WhatsApp group where they engaged in discussions concerning activities attributed to the office.
“Following the nominations, Focal Persons from the 36 states have been in a WhatsApp group engaging on issues relating to the activities of the office,” Nnake stated.
The SSG further disclosed that the office later approached the Anambra State Government with a request to host the South-East Made-in-Nigeria Fair.
She said the request was approved by the state government and that an inaugural meeting was held about two weeks ago, with the National Coordinator of the office in attendance.
“Since then, the State Committee has been working on preparations for the Fair, which is scheduled to take place from 2nd–5th December 2026,” she said.
However, Nnake drew a clear distinction between these official engagements and other activities or claims reportedly associated with the purported agency.
“Beyond these official interactions and engagements, I have no knowledge of, involvement in, or connection with any other activities, claims, or developments attributed to the said office,” she said.
The clarification comes amid questions surrounding the legitimacy of the organisation and the use of Nnake’s photograph and name in materials identifying her as one of its state coordinators.
Nnake maintained that her involvement was based strictly on the official communication received by the Anambra State Government and the subsequent nomination made by the Governor.
“I therefore wish to make it clear that anything beyond the above-mentioned official interactions is entirely outside my knowledge and involvement,” she stated.
The clarification is expected to provide further context to the controversy surrounding the “Made-in-Nigeria Agency” and the roles allegedly assigned to government officials across the country.
