National Orientation Agency (NOA), Anambra State Directorate on Tuesday witnessed slight reorganization, including appointment of Deputy Directors of the agency as supervisory Deputy Directors.
The Acting Director, Barrister Lady, Ifeoma Chijioke disclosed this on Tuesday in her officer during in-house training workshop organized by leadership of the agency for management staff of the agency in the State.
She said the Deputy Directors would surpervise activities of the agency in the 21 local government areas of the state.
Chijioke had announced receipt of confirmation letter of her acting Directorship of NOA in Anambra State from the Abuja National Headquarters of the agency.
She read out the mandates of the supervisory Deputy Directors to include accessing and evaluating the performance of the Community Orientation, and Mobilization Officers (COMOs) of the Agency at the 21 local government areas in the state for optimum performance.
“The essence of the slight reorganization of the agency is for trickling down the government policies, programmes and activities of the Agency at the grassroots across the state for better understanding and assimilation of the programmes by the people,” she stated.
While asking the supervisory Deputy Directors to work towards initiating functional programmes that would be impactful on Nigerians, the Acting Director advised participants to come to her office whenever in doubt for clarity.
She also enjoined them to remain their brother’s keepers in the tasks of carrying out their statutory duties.
“The agency has a lot of job to deliver towards rewriting its denied fortunes over the years in the state.
“We must work towards initiating human oriented sensitization programmes on total fight against narcotics as well as youths gender violence that had been eating deep in the fabrics of Nigerian society over the years.
“With unity and formidable force among us, we can achieve a lot by turning around the misconstrued image of the Agency in the State , and Nigeria at large”, she said.
Chijioke also spoke on her intention to organize orientation programme for all staff of the agency with a view to instilling in them high sense of discipline, hard-work and respect.
She mandated the Deputy Directors and Unit Heads to prepare a miniature lectures for the prospected participants of the proposed in-house – training workshop for entire staff of the agency, which she promised to would hold ome up soon.
Speaking separately, Deputy Director Planning, Research, and Statistics Department, Mr. Obi Okeke, Deputy Director, Civic, Ethics and Democracy Education, Mr.Obi Remigius, among others appreciated the Acting Director for starting her leadership with transparency and accountability.
They pledged unflinching supports to her leadership, praying God to give her more grace and wisdom to accomplish her heart desire in the Agency.
