EFCC Detains Ex-Labour Minister, Ngige over Multimillion Naira Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has detained former Labour Minister, Senator (Dr.) Chris Ngige over alleged fraudulent transactions involving a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity linked to him.
The former Anambra governor, who is being held at the Abuja zonal office of the EFCC in Wuse, was arrested on Wednesday and is currently being interrogated by EFCC investigators.
“Mr Ngige is currently being interrogated at our Abuja zonal office,” a source told Peoples Gazette. “The commission is investigating some fraudulent transactions running into billions, which were carried out in one of the parastatals under the Ministry of Labour while Ngige was minister.”
