NPFL Club Bendel Insurance Suspends Coach Ikhenoba, Drafts in Bazuaye

The Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission (ESSC), Hon. Desmond Amadin Enabulele has announced the suspension of the head coach of Bendel Insurance FC, Mr. Greg Ikhenoba with immediate effect.

Already Coach Baldwin Bazuaye, has been asked to step in as his replacement.

The decision comes in response to a series of underwhelming performances by Bendel Insurance FC this season as was highlighted by their recent 0-1 home defeat against Nasarawa United FC on match day seven of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). The game took place at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Coach Baldwin Bazuaye will take over as interim leader of the club’s technical team and manage operations temporarily until further directives are provided.
