Anambra Excells in 2025 President Teachers, Schools Excellence Award, Wins 9 Awards

Schools in Anambra State have collected nine awards in the 2025 President’s Teachers and Schools Excellence Award.

Woliwo Primary School II Onitsha won the star prize of a 16 seater bus in the all round best school in Nigeria while Pinkberry International School Odume Obosi received award as the first runner up, best approved private primary school in Nigeria.

Emmanuel Ndibe of St Theresas Secondary School Enugwu Ukwu won the first runner up of best approved private senior secondary school teacher in Nigeria while Nkechi Ikedi of Pinkbery International Primary School Odume Obosi won the first runner up, best approved private primary school teacher in Nigeria.

Others are GSS Ojoto-first runner up best public junior secondary school in Nigeria while Cosmas Nwata of Igbariam Farm Settlement primary school won first runner up best public primary school teacher in Nigeria

Amaka Ubaka of Prince Memorial Secondary School Onitsha- won the first runner up, best public senior secondary school Administrator in Nigeria while Okafor Ngozi of Community High School Nkwelle Ezunaka won First runner up best public junior secondary school Administrator in Nigeria.

Edozieobi Nnenna of Model Primary School Akabor Ojoto won First runner up best public primary school administrator in Nigeria.

The winners all received laptops each.

The award ceremony was performed today at the Eagles square Abuja where Anambra State was presented the Awards by the Hon. Minister for Education Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa

Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh appreciated Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for the capacity he gave to schools in the state to continuously win the awards since he assumed office.

Chuma-Udeh, represented by Permanent Secretary, Dr. Ifeoma Agbaizu, who led the Education family to Abuja for the ceremony said schools in the state have been repositioned for greater exploits.

“Schools in the state have been repositioned for greater exploits since Mr Governor assumed office through ending era of schools without teachers namely, employment of teachers, free education and establishment of smart schools,” she added.

Congratulating the award winning schools for making the state proud, the commissioner expressed confidence that with the second term of Soludo, State schools would be better repositioned for further exploits.

Speaking seperatly, Headteachers of the winning schools, Mrs. Francisca Odiegwu and Mrs Royaline Amarachi Ikebuaso thanked the Governor for bringing back life to schools in the state.

They vowed to expose children in the state to education that is globally competitive with the employment and training of teachers as envisioned by the government.
