Oba Youths Beg Soludo to Grant Detained Native Doctor Amnesty over Deteriorating Health

Oba Youth Forum (OYF) has raised the alarm over deteriorating health condition of Chief Chidozie Nwangwu, popularly known as Akwa Okuko tiwalu aki.

President of the forum, Chief Onyebuike Okonkwo, in a statement appealed to Governor Chukwuma Soludo to grant amnesty to Nwangwu to allow him attend to his illness.

He said Nwangwu has an ageing father who slipped into coma resulting in a stroke for non-release of his son, calling on the Governor to set the native doctor free.

He assured that the doctor would never violate his bail conditions if granted amnesty.

“We appeal to the Governor to in the spirit of the coming governorship election, release Chief Nwangwu to allow him not only exercise his political franchise but mobilise Oba and the entire Idemili youths for All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).

“The entire Idemili South will mobilize their sons and daughters for APGA during the governorship election; no single vote will go to the opposition,” the group assured.

It was gathered that the native doctor who has been in detention and facing charges in Anambra State High Court was rushed to Amaku General Hospital over undisclosed illness on Tuesday.

But sources said he was critically down with heart related sickness.
