By-election: Senator-elect Pledges Continuity of Ubah’s Legacy as APC Candidate Kicks

Winner of Saturday’s Anambra South Senatorial by-election, Emmanuel Nwachukwu has appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo and the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA family for making his victory possible.

He also commended Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for conducting hitch-free, free and fair bye election in Anambra South.

Speaking shortly after the results were announced, Nwachukwu declared that the victory was for the people of Anambra South Senatorial zone.

He promised to continue the legacy of the late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah in the zone

“APGA’s next focus will be the November 8 governorship election, which I know Governor Soludo is not contesting with anyone” Nwachukwu said

Meanwhile, the APC candidate, Sir Azuka Okwuosa declared that the battle is not yet over.

He alleged intimidation, harassment of the APC electorate by government agents, adding that the people were determined to vote but were intimidated a lot.

“The battle is not yet over, my party and I will meet to analyse the entire process and take a decision,” he said.
