The De Imperial Philanthropic Family has announced the launch of a N50 million scholarship fund aimed at rewarding the highest-performing candidates in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) across Nigeria.
The initiative was officially unveiled in Lekki, Lagos State.

During the event, High Chief Darlington Nwabunike (Ichie Ezenwakaibeya Ogbabalu Aku N’Anwu Ojoto), the National President of the De Imperial Philanthropic Family, stated that the scholarship aims to recognize and encourage academic excellence.

“This N50 million fund is dedicated to rewarding exceptional candidates who achieve outstanding results in the UTME across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,” Nwabunike remarked.

He highlighted that the organization’s mission is to combat poverty through access to quality education, emphasizing that the scholarship program is entirely self-funded through contributions from members, with no financial input from the government or external sponsors.

Nwabunike revealed that the scholarship will support students who score above 250 in the 2025 UTME exam, disbursing funds in two categories: N20 million allocated as N500,000 for the top-performing student in each of the 36 states and Abuja; and N30 million, offering N1,000,000 each for the 25 best-performing students from the Southeastern zone.

Chief Chikezie Okonkwo (Akunaetigbuilo na Nawfia), Chairman of the Education Committee, along with committee member Ezeh Chinonso (Ezesinachi Ihiala), assured attendees that the application and selection processes would be transparent, merit-based, and accessible to all eligible students nationwide.

Dr. Frank Igbojindu (Akuyienwata Egwu na Okija), CEO of Best Brain Contest and the official scholarship program manager, expressed gratitude for the trust placed in his organization. He urged qualified candidates to submit their applications online at www.deimperialphilanthropicfamily.org.

Application Deadline: July 12, 2025

Dr. Igbojindu emphasized that this noble initiative underscores the De Imperial Philanthropic Family’s unwavering commitment to fostering educational excellence and empowering Nigeria’s youth.
