Prominent leaders across the South East have hailed Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, for his remarkable infrastructural development initiatives, describing them as a benchmark for good governance in Nigeria.
The leaders made the remarks during the official commissioning of several legacy projects of Governor Soludo by President Bola Tinubu last Thursday in Awka.
Chairman, Enugu State Council Of Traditional Rulers, HRH, Igwe Samuel Asadu echoed the call for greater regional integration, emphasizing that Soludo’s governance is a shining example of what is possible when leadership is driven by a clear vision and accountability.
“Soludo’s administration exemplifies how visionary leadership and efficient resource management can deliver sustainable progress.
“The pace and scope of infrastructural projects across Anambra under Soludo is unprecedented, hence Soludo is succeeding in setting a standard that other states can emulate,” he said.
Also speaking, Traditional Ruler of Ogbunka Community, HRH Igwe Johnmark Anyaoha and Igwe of Ihite Town, HRH Ifurunwa Timothy Okwudili noted that since assuming office, Soludo had prioritized strategic investments in road construction, urban renewal, education infrastructure, and digital transformation.
“These initiatives are not only transforming Anambra State but also inspiring a new model of leadership rooted in transparency, planning, and people-focused development,” they said.
Chairmen of Orumba North, Orumba South, and Nnewi South Local Government Area, Rt. Captain Casmir Nwafor, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike, and Hon. Van George Ezeogidi respectively commended Governor Soludo’s efforts.
They noted that his leadership has brought tangible improvements to infrastructure, governance, and public service delivery and called for more grassroot support for the workaholic Governor to succeed.
The Governor had seized the opportunity to appeal to Tinubu for increased federal support in key areas, including the completion of ongoing federal roads in the South East, the establishment of agro-industrial hubs, and enhanced collaboration on power infrastructure.
He emphasized the importance of strong federal-state partnerships in accelerating development and improving the lives of citizens.
Tinubu, on his part, lauded Soludo’s vision and performance, describing it as bold, innovative, and commendable and reaffirmed federal government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that align with the Renewed Hope Agenda and assured that infrastructural development across Nigeria would receive continued attention.
“Leadership is about service, vision, and action—and I commend Governor Soludo for showing what’s possible with the right approach,” the President said.
Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo, Mr. Ernest Ezeajugi, the State Chief Protocol and Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye and Anambra State Environment Commissioner, Engr Felix Odimegwu in their separate speeches expressed resounding endorsements from both the presidency and regional leaders.
They called on other state governments to emulate Soludo’s transformational model as a pathway to sustainable development and national unity.
