BudgiT Award: Accountant General urges Anambra Women to Emulate Soludo’s wife

Accountant General of Anambra State, Mr Joachin Achor has called on women to emulate wife of the state Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo in promoting physical fitness as well as raising awareness on healthy eating and disease prevention.

Achor who made the call in Awka while commending Soludo’s wife for wining the 2026 BudgiT Active Citizens Award in Health Activism, described the award as significant national endorsement of a vision she has quietly nurtured over the past twenty years.

He said the award highlighted her work in preventive healthcare, community wellness, public health advocacy throughout the “Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo Initiative” .

“I’m proud of Dr Nonye Soludo for bringing Anambra again to national limelight by winning the 2026 BudgiT Active Citizens Award.

“This confirms that meaningful changes does not always announce itself with the loudest voice but grows steadily through consistency, compassion and purposeful service,” he noted.

The State Account General maintained that Dr. Soludo deserved the award given to her, having delivered measurable and sustainable impact in various communities across the state through Healthy Living With Nonye Soludo.

“The governor’s wife through this award has shown nationally that Anambra is a model for promoting healthy lifestyle,” he added.
