₦1,500 Ticket Turns Into ₦1 Million Motorcycle as Over 400 Win in Anambra Raffle

What began with a ₦1,500 raffle ticket ended with a brand-new motorcycle worth over ₦1 million for one lucky participant, as more than 400 people won various prizes at the third edition of the Uduakommiri Uchebuaku Concepts Raffle Draw held at 3-3 Junction Park, Nsugbe, Anambra East Local Government Area.

The event attracted hundreds of participants from different parts of Nigeria, with winners taking home household appliances, electronics and other valuable items in what organisers described as a transparent and community-driven empowerment initiative.

The biggest winner, Ejike Charles Chizoba (Onyeoba Nsugbe), who was absent during the draw, said in a telephone interview that the victory came as a complete surprise.

“This was my first time participating. I bought just one ₦1,500 ticket and ended up winning a motorcycle worth over ₦1 million. I’m still overwhelmed with joy,” he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) House of Assembly candidate for Anambra West Constituency in the 2027 election, Engr. Fidelis Igwebuike Ekwenze (ONYILINMAGBA), commended the organiser, Chief Sunday Nwokike, for combining business with youth empowerment.

“Beyond the prizes, this initiative has created jobs for more than 60 young people. That is the kind of private-sector intervention our society needs, and I encourage other successful individuals to emulate it,” Ekwenze said.

He added that the raffle’s credibility continues to attract participants because every draw is conducted openly.

“Anyone can win. Today I also won a prize. With just ₦1,500, participants stand a chance of winning items worth thousands—or even over ₦1 million.”

One of the beneficiaries, Evelyn Ponfa from Plateau State, said she had now won prizes in two consecutive editions.

“I won a gas cylinder during the second edition, and today I won again. I’m grateful to God and the organisers for making this possible,” she said.

Another winner, Chinedu Ejike of Bataunonifedi Electricals, Ochanja Market, who received a power bank valued at about ₦20,000, praised the organisers for their transparency and integrity.

Chief Sunday Nwokike, Chief Executive Officer of Uduakommiri Uchebuaku Concepts, said the raffle, launched in December 2025, was inspired by a desire to alleviate hardship and restore hope.

“Our mission is to make people happy. We’ve invested millions of naira into this project because we believe in giving back. Every ticket is openly shuffled before the draw, so nobody knows who will emerge the winner.”

According to him, participants now come from states including Plateau, Lagos, Rivers, Edo, Enugu and Ebonyi, reflecting growing public confidence in the initiative.

He added that the organisation hopes to expand its operations beyond Nigeria as participation continues to increase.
