Hon Dozie Nwankwo has declared his intention to contest for Anambra Central senatorial seat under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

The former House of Representatives member made the declaration after a brief meeting with the state Chairman of APGA, Barr Ifatu Obiokoye, at the APGA office.

Nwankwo said he visited the Party House for consultations about his aspiration.

“We are party in power, our party is grassroot oriented and that’s why I have come to inform and consult with the party’s leadership about my intension to represent Anambra Central at the Senate. I am a former member of House of Representatives.

“It’s a contest and I am in the race for the good and betterment of Anambra Central, whatever step we want to take must begin from here,” he said.

While pledging quality representation to his constituents at the red chambers, the senatorial hopeful asserted that he would key into Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s programmes, who he described as a Working Governor.

“I will support Gov Soludo with legislation from Abuja, in the area of fighting insecurity with technology, youths empowerment, and policies that will make us live in peace as a nation especially in Anambra Central will also be part of my legislative agenda,” he added.
