Dr. Bobmanuel Chukwuemeka Okonmah, the Director-General of Akalaka Foundation, says his decision to join the race for the House of Representatives seat for Anambra East and West Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in the 2027 general elections, was to provide voice and adequate representation of the constituency at the National Assembly.

Okonmah, a development expert, also stressed that he wants to align his legislative agenda with the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to attract more dividends of democracy to the constituency.

He made the declaration during an interactive session with members of Omambala media practitioners in Awka.

According to him, the Anambra East and West Federal Constituency had been systematically marginalised in national discourse and that its people deserved a legislator capable of closing the widening gap between the grassroots and the federal government.

“The voices of Anambra East and West have not been adequately heard. It is time to change that narrative with quality representation that delivers results,” he said.

He noted that with his over two decades of experience in the private sector, including senior roles within multinational corporations, he possesses the competence, character and credibility to make greater legislative impacts if elected to the National Assembly.

“I have worked for 20 years with multinational companies and I felt that I have the experience and skills to represent my people and give them quality representation, and ensure that their voice are heard at the federal level.

“I know that I’m competent, incredible and I have the capacity to deliver results.

“Leadership is all about impacts and not just story telling. I’m also committed to properly align myself to the vision of our Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo at the federal level.
