Local government and ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra state have endorsed Basil Ejidike leadership for another four years.
Chairman, Awka South local government, Hon Frank Ndibe disclosed this while addressing newsmen on Thursday said Ejidike-led executive has lifted the status of the party in the state from state of laughter to a state of pride and honour.
“We the LG chairmen have deemed it fit to endorse the State Chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike for tirelessly working to take the party from a slump into limelight.
“Before now, APC was a mockery and a thing of laughter. But today, the party is a thing of pride and honor. People can now joyfully join the party, believing it’s working,” he said.
Ndibe called on stakeholders, including those in diaspora to join hands to build the party to greater heights.
He also re-echoed the endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for reelection over what he described as outstanding performances since assumption of office.
“We’re here to give a befitting endorsement to our President, Bola Tinubu who is making Nigeria work again. We’re pleased with his leadership.
“I want us to know that we have no better option, today or tomorrow that would bear the leadership of Nigeria and wheel the steering to where it is today.
“Mr President has woken Nigeria up from slump to where she is today. Nigeria is becoming the pride of Nations.
“A Nigerian today can proudly identify with their country. Nigeria is working again, courtesy of a man who knows the way.
“We also thank our leader, Sen Hope Uzodima, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, Sen Uche Ekwunife and other officers of the party for ensuring APC in Anambra is working.
Ndibe who also commended National Working Committee (NWC) of the party for its commitment to peace and progress in the party, thanked the state leadership for ensuring the NWC decision was peacefully executed.
“NWC of the party, after studying the happenings at the various states, instructed the states to arrive at consensus in every aspect o ensure peace in the party.
“By next week Tuesday, we’ll be here in mass to demonstrate that we’re one family and to officially endorse Ejidike for the next four years for performing credibly well,” he added.
