Foundation Offers Free Medicare to 40 PWDs in Anambra Community

FORTY Persons Living with Disabilities, PWDs benefited from a fee medical outreach program organized by the Unique Development Foundation for Women, UDFW, in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The free healthcare service which took place on 14th December 2025 at St Michael’s Catholic Church, Eziora, Ozubulu featured free medical check up and consultation for heath issues such as blood pressure, blood sugar, hypertension and diabetes, amomg others.

The outreach also featured free distribution of medication for common ailments, Health education awareness lecture on diets and other healthy lifestyle.

UDFW’s CEO/ Founder, Chief Rtn Eucharia Adukwulu (JP) in her welcome remarks, explained that the foundation which was established in 2003 and incorporated in 2007, had been championing the cause of humanitarian services and community development in its bid to make the world a better place, especially for the vulnerable people in the grassroots.

“We are creating enabling environment for healthy living in the society and also filling the gap for government for good governance and for inclusion of Persons Living with Disability ( PWDS )”, Aduku said.

She further disclosed that the foundation had put in place strategic plans to extend the free medical outreach program to 21 Local Government Areas in Anambra State in 2026.

AnambraDaily gathered that the initiative was a collaborative effort between UDFW and team of volunteered doctors, nurses and other donors.
