NSCDC Rewards Commanders, Officers for Outstanding Performance During Anambra Guber

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Anambra State Command has recognized and rewarded some Area Commanders and Divisional Officers who demonstrated exceptional performance and effectiveness in the security arrangements during the just concluded gubernatorial election.

State Commandant, Maku Olatunde gave the rewards during the command’s tactical evaluation dialectics, derivatives and security deliverables digest at the State Command Headquarters, Awka.

He appreciated officers and men of the Command for their professionalism and resilience in safeguarding the electoral process, protecting rights of citizens, and ensuring that individuals and political actors conduct themselves in accordance with the law.

He described the election as largely peaceful and orderly, without recourse to violence of any kind.

“I want, on behalf of the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi to commend you for the overall performance of your duties during the election. Your professionalism contributed immensely to the peaceful and orderly conduct of the election.

“Reports from observations and monitoring during the election indicate that civil defence officers on election duty were courteous, disciplined and maintained a high level of regimentation during the process” he added.

Maku further applauded the Commandant General for ensuring the NSCDC personnel deployed to provide a secure environment for free and fair elections were adequately equipped and properly briefed for the assignment.

He acknowledged the synergy that existed among all security agencies and pledged continued collaboration to enhance security management during future elections in the state.

While congratulating the awardees, the NSCDC boss urged them to consolidate their achievements, maintain momentum and continue to uphold the values of the NSCDC.

“This appreciation is not just a recognition of hard work, but a call to greater responsibility. Therefore, you must remain firm in character and performance, always prioritize the interest of the Corps and the masses we serve,” he stated.

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Assistant Commandant of Corps Aguoji Ifeanyi, Area Commander of Area E, Nnewi, expressed gratitude to the Commandant for the recognition, describing it as an exemplary reward system that significantly boosts morale.

He pledged that the awardees would remain steadfast in their duties, sustain the momentum, and continue to serve with pride and integrity.
