The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, has expressed its readiness to maintain cordial and professional relationship with the Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration.
In a congratulatory message to the Governor on his re-election, jointly signed by the Chapel’s Chairman, Chuks Ilozue and Secretary, Lucy Osuizigbo-Okechukwu, the body pledged to uphold values of balanced reportage and constructive engagement in the discharge of its duties.
The statement reads in part, “Soludo’s victory as a clear endorsement of his visionary leadership, ongoing reforms and commitment to building a livable and prosperous state.
“The renewed mandate reflected the trust the electorate had in the governor’s purposeful governance and the transformative programmes recorded across sectors.
“The Chapel expressed its readiness to maintain a cordial and professional relationship with the Soludo administration.
“We pledged to uphold the values of balanced reportage and constructive engagement in the discharge of its duties.
“We promise to continue promoting developments that support the progress and well-being of the people, reaffirming its commitment to responsible journalism and public service,” it said.
“It also prayed for God to grant the governor greater wisdom, strength and clarity as he commences another tenure.”
