APGA National Chairman Hails INEC for Credible Anambra Governorship Election

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Sly Ezeokenwa has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC for conducting free, credible and peaceful Governorship election in Anambra state.

He made the commendations shortly after INEC declared Professor Chukwuma Soludo the winner of the November 8th Governorship Election in the state.

According to Mr Ezeokenwa, Anambra State has never witnessed an election conducted like the of November 8th in the past.

He also thanked residents of the State and the Media for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner which resulted in the outcome of the exercise.

In his reaction, the representative of the ADC Party, Comrade Patrick Obianyo congratulated the winner of the election as declared by INEC but however made some observations about few irregularities noticed in the exercise.

According to him, there was need to explain further how INEC recorded over voting in a polling unit despite that accreditation and voting were done at the same time with BVAS.

The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze while congratulating the Governor on his re election, noted that the outcome of the governorship election was a clear testament to Governor Soludo’s good governance in the State and genuine demonstration of the people’s unwavering support to his administration.

He commended the people of Ogbaru Local Government Area for recording a resounding victory in the election in appreciation of Governor Soludo’s development achievements in the area and assured the Governor that they will give him more support in his second term.
