Headteacher Suspended for Violating Ban on Unofficial Gatherings in Anambra Schools

Headteacher of Community Primary School Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra state has been directed to step down indefinitely for allowing campaign rally in her school.
Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh who issued the directive said the headteacher disobeyed an existing order of the Ministry which banned gatherings of any sort in schools.
She regretted disruption of academic activities in the school and endangering of lives of the children occasioned by the rally.
“State government is preparing to institute legal action against the organizers of the rally which disrupted academic activities in the school and endangered the lives of the children,” she revealed.
