The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has intensified its grassroots mobilization for the re-election of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, as party leaders and stakeholders converged at Nise, Awka South Local Government Area, to strategize ahead of the November 8, 2025 governorship election.

Addressing party members of Nise Wards 1 and 2 during a stakeholders meeting held at the residence of Chief Ejiamatu Damian Enekwechi, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, urged members to strengthen their polling unit structures, stressing that victory would be determined at the grassroots.

“The election will be won polling unit by polling unit. This is not about money politics but about service and continuity,” Ibezim declared, adding that Anambra has a long-standing political culture of allowing governors to complete two terms in office.

He commended the host, Chief Enekwechi, for his commitment to the party and encouraged APGA faithful to remain steadfast, describing the ongoing mobilization as a “moving train” that everyone should join.

In his remarks, Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Pius Chukwuma Okoye, expressed confidence that Nise would deliver 100 percent votes for APGA, describing the meeting as a show of solidarity for Soludo reelection.

Also, the former National Chairman of APGA, Sir Victor Oye, declared that the party was already positioned for victory, recalling the 21 over 21 local government sweep achieved during Chief Willie Obiano tenure. “Soludo has performed beyond expectations; this election must be won, polling unit by polling unit,” Oye said.

The State Chairman of APGA, Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, praised Chief Enekwechi for his unwavering support and described Nise as one of the party strongest political bases. He urged members to demonstrate loyalty and capacity at their various polling units, saying, “If I have 21 men like Chief Damian in this state, APGA will never lack.”

Earlier in his remarks, the host of the event, Chief Damian Enekwechi, pledged that Nise Wards 1 and 2 would vote massively for APGA, assuring that all political structures in the area would collapse into the party.

One of the stakeholders, Mrs. Anuli Nwafo, praised Soludo’s achievements in healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare, noting that the governor had already campaigned through performance. She urged women to reject vote buying and come out en masse to vote on election day.

In his remarks, APGA leader in Nise, Chief Boniface Egbutu, said the meeting was part of a wider grassroots strategy to sustain the momentum of Soludo’s developmental agenda, noting that the governor had shown capacity across all sectors.

Highlight of the meeting was the defection of 63 members of the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement, Nise Ward 2 chapter, led by Chief Donatus Enekwechi, who were formally received into APGA by the State Chairman and pledged total support for Soludo re-election.
