Scores of American critical heart interventionists are currently in Anambra state to perform Open-heart Surgeries on scores of patients with cardiovascular ailments.
Chairman/GCEO OilServ Ltd, Engr. Dr. Emeka Okwuosa who disclosed this in a statement said the Open-heart Surgeries were being carried out by the VOOM Foundation USA in partnership with the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF), Oraifite.
He said the patients had booked for the surgeries from all parts Ekwusigo local government, Anambra, Southeast and Nigeria in general.
The statement partly reads, “The medical doctors are to perform Open-heart Surgeries on scores of people with Cardiovascular ailments who booked in for the surgeries from all parts Ekwusigo local government, Anambra, Southeast and Nigeria in general.
“The Open-heart Surgeries are being carried out by the VOOM Foundation USA in partnership with the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF) at Oraifite.
“The world class highly digitised Medical facility of the Dame Irene Okwuosa Memorial Hospital Oraifite (DIOMH) provides the base for the Open-heart surgeries.
“The medical mission which costs the Sir Emeka Okwuosa Foundation (SEOF), Oraifite hundreds of millions to host twice a year will transform several lives.
“We’re giving back to the Oraifite and Nigerian community through this medical mission which holds from October 11 to November 2, 2025.
“The Mission is a continuation of the powerful work to provide high-quality, subsidized medical care to underserved communities across Southeast Nigeria.
“Life-saving interventions would be delivered from pediatric and adult consultations to Open-heart Surgeries and interventional cardiology procedures; all carried out by World-Class Volunteer Specialists.
