Stakeholders in Awka South Local Government Area Ward Four have thrown their weight behind the re-election bid of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim, pledging to deliver votes across all 24 polling units in the ward.

The declaration was made at Umukwa, Ezi-Awka, during the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) ward tour led by the Chairman of Awka South Campaign Council and Managing Director of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Dr. Ossy Onuko.

In his remarks, Chairman of Ward Four Campaign Council, Ozo Igwedimma Nwofor, praised Governor Soludo for what he described as massive infrastructural transformation in Awka South. He assured that ward four will deliver 100 percent, insisting that the November 8, 2025 governorship election would be a celebration day for Soludo’s re-election. He urged voters to stay back after casting their ballots to protect their votes.

Also speaking, former Transition Committee Chairman of Awka South, Mr. Leo Nwuba said the ward was combat ready and would come out in large numbers to vote for Soludo. He recalled that Awka South had always topped election results in the past five years and reaffirmed that Soludo was qualified to serve a full eight year tenure.

Councilor representing Ezi-Awka Ward Four, Mr. Anthony Nwammadu, described Soludo as a great governor whose administration had delivered roads, smart schools, health facilities, and other infrastructure. He specifically pointed to the newly tarred road in Ezi-Awka that now links Awka One and Awka Two.

Also, a stakeholder Mrs. Patricia Ijeoma stressed that women in the ward were 100 percent prepared to vote, vowing that they would rise early on election day to cast their ballots for Soludo and protect their votes.

In his response, Dr. Onuko thanked the ward for their resolve, noting that the governor was poised for a resounding victory with the grassroots structures already in place. He emphasized the importance of organizing at the polling unit level with chairmen and secretaries to ensure that no vote was lost.

Other stakeholders present at the meeting included the Managing Director of Anambra ICT Agency, Mr. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata (CFA), Chief Tony Nwabueze, Mrs. Helen Nonyelum, Ozo Jude Agumadu, Chief Emeka Igwe among others.
