Anambra Teqball Team Set for World Qualifiers Tournament in Abia

The Anambra State Teqball Association has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Teqball World Qualifiers, scheduled to take place from September 10–13, 2025, in Aba, Abia State.

According to the Media Officer of the Association, Cyril Nwoye, the decision was reached during the Association’s executive meeting held in Awka, Anambra State capital

Also In the communiqué issued after the meeting, the body expressed appreciation to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, for his commitment to sports development, as well as to the Chairman of the Anambra State Sports Development Commission, Chief Estate Onyedum, for his steadfast support towards the growth of Teqball in the State.

As part of preparations for the qualifiers, selection trials for the state contingent will begin on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Awka City Stadium, starting by 9:00 am.

The Association urged all stakeholders, players, and Teqball enthusiasts to rally behind the team to ensure a strong showing at the qualifiers.
