Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 8 election in Anambra, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu has reassured his preparedness to fix the State if he emerged victorious at the poll.
Ukachukwu who gave the assurance during a post thank you tour press briefing in Awka said his tour of the 21 local government areas of the state availed him opportunity to appreciate collosal failure of the ruling All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) administration led by Prof Chukwuma Soludo.
He attributed the level of reception and support accorded to him during his team’s thank you tour as manifestation of the failure of the current administration.
Ukachukwu described his entrance into the governorship race as a child of circumstances occasioned by the death of Sen Ifeanyi Ubah who he already promised to support all the way.
He recalled that Anambra had always been a shining light which attracted all and sundry from far and near, but regretted that the light is completely quenched under the watch of the current administration.
“Anambra has become a shadow of herself. There used to be uninterrupted water supply as well as electricity supply across the State, this has systematically removed from the reach of the people.
“Unfortunately, this evil befell the state through the administrations of persons who have no stakes in Anambra, they don’t have any business in the state, they just come in as governors and take everything they could from the state and leave the people impoverished.
“Sen Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was the only person who had a complete welfare package for Ndi-Anambra and his approach to governance and our model are similar. We will ensure that the dream of the belated Senator is accomplished by our administration.
“The level of reception and support so far accorded me during our thank you tour which is a manifestation of the failure of the government of the day always kindle the fire of commitment and passion to give a five star governance.
“The government of Prof Charles Soludo has been intimidating the Royal Fathers and President Generals for identifying with the Wind of Glory,” he noted.
Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, APC Governorship Candidate for Anambra 2025 election
The APC standard bearer recalled with nostalgia that Anambra has always been a trading and manufacturing hub which the incumbent administration has stuffed life out.
“instead of concentrating on projects that will empower the people of the State, the government of the day is celebrating inanities which cannot add value to Ndi-Anambra.
“Under my watch, there won’t be room for criminal organizations like ‘Aka Odo’ and Agunechemba which present administration has turned to militia groups to intimidate the people.
The APC flagbearer assured Ndi-Anambra that he would be meeting with the press on monthly or bimonthly as well as setting up platforms to have unfettered interactions with the people.
