He, however warned that the choice of the coalition’presidential candidate would be the deciding factor on whether the political vehicle would success in beating the ruling party or not. He therefore, urged the former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubarkar to step down for Peter Obi
According to him, the only person the Nigeria masses especially youths will accept from the packs of the people involved in the coalition is Mr. Peter Obi.
“I want to appeal to former vice President Atiku Abubakar to be patriotic enough as well as other leaders of opposition like Mallam El rufai and other northern leaders to rally round Mr. Peter Obi to get the ticket and rule only for four years to complete the south quota as specified in the political leadership zoning arrangement of the country and handover to the north which probably might be Atiku Abubakar”, he said.
He also urged ex Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi to equally scaled down his ambition and join forces with Mr. Peter Obi and work for the success of of mr Peter Obi adding that the arrangement is the best option to snatch the presidency from APC led government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Said the Igbo leader, “This is not politics, am speaking the mind of most Nigerians, most Nigerians want Mr. Peter Obi to be the ADC Presidential candidate, am passionately appealing to them to allow Mr. Peter Obi to go in for this four years to complete the quota of the south as it is obtained in Nigeria leadership zoning arrangement between the north and southern Nigeria.
“I am begging Mallam El rufal, and all northern leaders to come together and support Mr. Obi, I believe this is possible for this new coalition to take over leadership of Nigeria from APC and rescue this nation”.
