Anambra State Police Command has re-assured residents of its determination to curtail crimes, maintain law and order through improved surveillance and patrol operations across the state.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, who made the disclosure on Monday, noted that residents of the state have also aligned with the police and other security agencies in rejecting the fearsome narrative of “Unknown Gunmen”.
According to him, rather than being classified as Known Gunmen, “those terrorizing the state are unrepentant criminals who have consistently refused to change their ways.”
Ikenga insists that banking on the active participation of citizens, the state police command and other security agencies have resolved to flush out criminal elements in the state.
He said: “Given the above, Ndi Anambra has shown more resolve and commitment by working with the Police and other security agencies to fish out the bad eggs and deny the criminals the space to wreak further havoc in the state.”

He urged residents to remain vigilant and proactive in supporting security efforts by reaching out to the security agencies in times of emergencies.
“For any security related emergencies or assistance, the public is advised to contact the Command Control Room via 07039194332 or the PPRO directly on 08039334002”, he advised, while reminding citizens that “the ‘NPF Rescue Me’ app is available for free download on both Android and iOS platforms, offering a quick and effective way to request police assistance when needed.”
