Medical Expert Applauds Anaocha Council Boss for Documenting Leadership Vision

The Managing Director of St. Cletus Healthcare Limited, Neni, in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, Dr. Calistus Chibuike Obianodo, has commended the Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Romanus Ibekwe, for documenting his leadership experiences and development vision in a new book titled Building a Greater Anaocha.

Obianodo made the commendation during the public presentation of the book at the Anambra Country Club, Awka, where he described the publication as a valuable contribution to discussions on grassroots leadership, governance and community development.

The philanthropist, who chaired the book launch, said the experiences and ideas contained in the publication could provide useful lessons for both current and emerging leaders.

According to him, effective grassroots leadership requires a clear understanding of the needs of the people, commitment to public service and the ability to develop practical solutions to challenges confronting communities.

“Effective grassroots leadership requires a proper understanding of the needs of the people, commitment to service and the ability to provide practical solutions to the challenges facing our communities,” Obianodo said.

He added that documenting leadership experiences was an important way of transferring knowledge to younger generations and helping them understand the responsibilities associated with public leadership.

Obianodo therefore encouraged residents, community leaders and young people to read the book, noting that it provides useful insights into grassroots leadership and community development.

He also described the documentation of leadership experiences as an important tool for preserving knowledge and ideas that could contribute to the development of Anaocha and other communities.

Speaking on the motivation behind the book, Ibekwe said his desire to make a meaningful impact at the grassroots informed his decision to document his experiences, ideas and vision for the council area.

He said Building a Greater Anaocha was intended to serve as a guide for younger leaders while encouraging greater attention to the talents and potential of the younger generation.

“Building a Greater Anaocha is intended to serve as a guide for younger leaders, encourage attention to the talents of the younger generation and promote the principles of sacrifice, commitment and good governance,” Ibekwe said.

The book presentation attracted government officials, political leaders, community stakeholders, academics, business leaders and other guests from across Anambra State.

Among those in attendance were the Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Mrs. Amaka Nnake; Chief Barr. Prince Chukwudi Oli; former Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeaguhgi; Chief Ifeatu Obiokoye; Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Izuchukwu Okafor; and Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike.

Others included the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Vincent Chukwuemeka Ezeaka; Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor; Hon. Barr. Ndubuisi Obiadi; Chief Barr. Titus Nnabuike Akpudo; and Chief Mrs. Chinelo Ngozi Obikwelu, among others.

The event provided an opportunity for stakeholders to reflect on grassroots governance, leadership experiences and the need for sustained development in Anaocha Local Government Area and beyond.
