Dr. Nonye Soludo Celebrates Recovery, Hospital Discharge of Abused Young Boy, Chiziterem

The Wife of the Anambra State Governor and Founder of the Healthy Living Initiative, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has expressed profound joy and gratitude following the full recovery and discharge from the hospital of young Chiziterem, whose heartbreaking story of abuse and neglect touched the hearts of many Nigerians.

“My heart is filled with immense gratitude as Chiziterem leaves the hospital today fully healed. His journey reminds us that kindness, compassion, and collective love can restore hope even in the most difficult situations,” Dr. Soludo said.

She expressed deep appreciation to everyone who stood by the young boy throughout his recovery, acknowledging the overwhelming support from individuals and groups who visited him, prayed for him, sent gifts, offered words of encouragement, and remained steadfast in supporting his family.

“I sincerely thank everyone who was touched by his story; those who visited him, prayed for him, sent gifts, offered words of encouragement, and stood with his family throughout this period. Your generosity and empathy truly made a real difference,” she added.

Reaffirming her commitment to the child’s welfare, Dr. Soludo disclosed that, as promised, she had settled all of Chiziterem’s medical expenses and would also empower his mother with the resources needed to establish a sustainable means of livelihood, enabling her to provide a brighter future for her children.

“As promised, I have taken care of all his medical bills, and we will also support his mother with the means to start a sustainable livelihood so she can provide a better future for her children. May Chiziterem’s recovery keep reminding us that every act of kindness has the power to change a life forever. God bless you all,” she said.

Chiziterem’s case drew widespread public attention after reports emerged that the young boy had allegedly suffered severe abuse, prompting an outpouring of sympathy and urgent calls for intervention. Responding swiftly, Dr. Soludo visited the child, ensured his immediate admission to a medical facility for comprehensive treatment, and pledged to personally oversee his recovery while providing support for his family.

His successful recovery and discharge now stand as a testament to the impact of timely intervention, compassionate leadership, and the power of collective humanity.
