Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC), Anambra State Command has presented awards to the best performing officers in the assessment test.
State Commandant, Maku Olatunde particularly showered encomium on ACC Ochie Paul, in charge of the Solid Minerals and Development Unit who emerged as the overall best.
Speaking during the weekly tactical digest meeting with senior officers to review the security situation and strategize on proactive measures aimed at sustaining peace and security across the state, NSCDC helmsman said the awards were in recognition of officers’ outstanding performance.
He reiterated the Corps’ commitment to professionalism, discipline and service delivery in line with the Commandant General’s vision.
He charged officers and men of the Command to remain dedicated to their duties and uphold professionalism at all times, particularly in intelligence gathering and protection of critical assets.
Maku commended personnel who performed excellently in the Command’s in-house capacity building assessment test on “Tactical, Dialectical, Derivatives and Security Deliverables Techniques in the Protection of Critical, National, State and Local Government Assets and infrastructure.
The assessment test involved Heads of Departments, Heads of Units, Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Heads of Formations, and Composite Commanders.
While cautioning personnel against engaging in illegal duties and dereliction of duty, the State Commandant warned that the consequences would be severe for anyone found culpable.
“You must improve on your report writing and intelligence gathering capabilities. These are key to safeguarding Critical National, State and Local Government Assets and Infrastructure in Anambra State,” he said.
