UNIZIK signs MOU with India varsity on research, devt

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State and the Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Haryana, India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration and mutual support in promoting teaching and learning, research and development.

The signing ceremony, conducted live online in real time marks a significant step toward fostering global academic excellence, research cooperation, and cultural exchange.

The partnership covers a range of joint events, exchange programmes, educational resource sharing and partnerships.

Speaking at the online ceremony, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Bond Anyaehie highlighted the great potentials of the institution based available statistical data.

He expressed optimism that the collaboration with Chaudhary University, India would further promote growth and staff development.

On his part, Vice Chancellor, Chaudhary Devi Lal University, Prof. Vijay Kumar gave a brief background of the institution which he said was named after a former Deputy Prime Minister of India.

Expressing excitement about the coincidence that both institutions were named after Statesmen that served their people creditably, Kumar observed the great prospects of the collaboration with UNIZIK, pledging to support the partnership for mutual benefit of both institutions.

The ceremony was facilitated by Prof. Charles Nwadigwe, Director, International Collaboration and Linkages of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, and Prof. Anu Shukla, the Dean, International Relations and Foreign Affairs of Chaudhary Devi Lal University.

Both Vice Chancellors signed their own copies of the MOU live while other staff present witnessed and applauded the event, including Dr. Mirian Alike of the Philosophy Department who had provided communication support during the collaboration negotiations.
