60 Police Operatives Set to Monitor JAMB Exams, Ensure Safety in Anambra

Anambra State Police Command has deployed sixty (60) Safe School Operatives across designated centres to monitor the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME scheduled to hold from 15th to 26th April 2026.

Spokesperson, Tochukwu Ikenga said the deployment of the operatives was to ensure safety, security, and orderliness throughout the exercise being organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

He reassured Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, just as he urged candidates and other stakeholders to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security personnel on duty.

“The deployment with the Operational base located in the respective eight (8) Police Area Command in the State is coordinated by the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, ACP Harrison Oruruo, psc, forms part of the Command’s proactive measures under the Safe School Initiative.

“The aim is to provide a secure environment for candidates, invigilators, and examination officials, while preventing any form of malpractice, disruption or security breach.

“The Command reassures the public of its continued commitment to safeguarding lives and property and urges candidates and other stakeholders to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security personnel on duty,” he added.
