Barr Ifeoma Chijioke Emerges Anambra NOA First Female Acting Director

History was made on Wednesday at the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Anambra State Directorate following emergence of Barr Ifeoma Evangeline Chijioke as the first female Acting Director of the agency since its creation in 1993.

Chijioke, in her acceptance speech, appreciated the out gone state Director Mr. Edozie Ajaegbu, who she said God used to right a lot of wrongs in the Agency, praying God to bless him in his future endeavors.

“Mr Ajaegbu did his best towards taking the agency to greater heights. I know that today he handed over the Barton to me,” she said.

The new acting director appealed to the management and staff of the Agency to join hands with her leadership to move the Agency to greater heights, stressing that, “together they can achieve much”

“If they leave the ball for me alone and I have nobody to pass it to, I will not be able to play the ball. A tree cannot make a forest. My prayer is that united we can move this great establishment to the next level.”

In his farewell speech during a brief hand over ceremony at the Agency Headquarters, the out gone State Director, Mr Edozie Ajaegbu, described as wonderful his three years experience as the Director of the Agency in the State.

He said he had good and cooperative staff, adding that his relationship with the management, and staff of the Agency during his time as Director was beautiful.

He urged management and staff of the Agency to extend their hands of cooperation to the incoming Acting Director as they did to him to move the agency to next level.

“We worked together towards moving Nigeria to greatness and that was our intention, and I have no doubt you’ll extend same relationship to my successor.

Describing NOA as very vital organization in a developing country like Nigeria, Ajaegbu expressed confidence that with better and improved funding, the agency remained a catalyst in the onerous task of moving Nigeria to greatness.

“During my State Directorship, the Agency was involved in implementation of programmes originated from NOA Headquarters Abuja, and some State initiated programmes as well as collaborative enterprise with Federal establishments, and Non- governmental Organizations,” he added
