The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has congratulated Gov. Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra on his victory at the Nov. 8 governorship election in the state.

IPMAN in its congratulatory message described Soludo as most deserving and voted for progress of Anambra.

Mr Chinedu Anyaso, Chairman of IPMAN Enugu Depot Community in charge of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu States said marketers were happy to associate with his victory just as they supported his re-election prior to the exercise.

Anyaso urged Soludo to take the Ease of Doing Business seriously with a view to unlocking the trade and entrepreneurship advantage of the state.

He expressed confidence that the governor would conclude the ongoing conversation on consolidated tax and levies payable to the government by marketers in the state.

Anyaso assured the governor of the continued support and willingness of marketers to cooperate with his administration.

“On behalf of petroleum products markers in Enugu Depot Community, especially our members in Anambra, I want to extend our hearty congratulations to Prof. Chukwuma Soludo on his victory in the Nov. 18 governorship election.

“His landslide victory is not just for him as an individual but for entire people of Anambra who spoke convincingly with their votes across the 21 local government areas of the state.

“As businessmen, we are willing as always to work with him in the second term, so we call on him to build on existing rate of Ease of Doing Business in order to encourage investment, create employment and fight poverty.

“On our part as IPMAN, we call on the governor to graciously revisit the issue of consolidated revenue payable by marketers in Anambra and conclude it to end harassment of members by local council authorities,” he said.

Anyaso prayed for the success of Soludo second term and prosperity of Anambra under him.
