SWAN, Anambra Chapter Congratulates Soludo on His Re-election Victory

The leadership and members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Anambra State Chapter has extended warmest congratulations to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his resounding victory at the Nov. 8, 2025 governorship election.

This was contained in a Press Statement signed by the Chairman, Chimezie Anaso and the Secretary, Uche Ndeke and made available to journalists in Awka.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday 9th November declared Soludo the winner, having secured an overwhelming victory by the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

According to SWAN , the triumph was both a unanimous endorsement of his administration and an eloquent affirmation of the visionary leadership, transformative policies, and unwavering commitment to the progress and prosperity of Anambra State.

The Press Statement noted that the victory on Saturday 8th November is of particular significant as the Governor becomes the third in Anambra’s political history to secure a second term, a testament to the trust reposed in his administrative acumen, and people centered governance

” SWAN, as the body of sports journalists and partners in the Anambra sports sector are happy to associate with you and hereby reaffirm our readiness, willingness and availability to continue to work with your administration to achieve the solution Agenda for sports”.

The Association therefore commended the achievements made in the sports sector in the outgoing administration and urged the Governor to do more with greater vigour to enable youths of Anambra tap into the huge sports economy.

The Statement also urged him to sustain the gains in the first tenure and ensure that sports continue to serve as a powerful tool for social cohesion, economic empowerment, and national integration.

 "SWAN Anambra  Chapter urges you to  increase investment in sports infrastructure and continue to promote healthy lifestyles among the people.Congratulations again", the statement concluded.
