AAC Guber Candidate Reveals Encounter with Vote-Buyers Who Tried To Pay Her N3k to Vote for APGA

Chioma Ifemeludike, the Action Alliance Congress, AAC governorship candidate in the just concluded Anambra gubernatorial election, has disclosed that she witnessed open vote buying at a polling unit on election day.

In an interview with TVC, Ifemeludike said she visited one of the wards and observed that some people were paying voters to vote for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). She stated that the individuals involved did not recognize her because she did not arrive with a convoy or an entourage.

Ifemeludike said they even attempted to pay her as well. She stated that they offered her 3,000 naira to vote for APGA, not knowing she was the governorship candidate of AAC.

She said they approached her and told her that after voting she should come to a particular spot to collect the money. In Ifemeludike’s words:

“I have evidence, they actually wanted to pay me for vote because they did not know me. I walked into one of the wards, they couldn’t identify me because I did not walk in with convoy or entourage so they did not know I was a candidate. They approached me and said, ‘When you vote, walk over here and get paid”

Meanwhile, Ifemeludike has invited her fans, particularly the 292 people who voted for her in the election to a lunch in appreciation for their support.

Chioma Ifemeludike, an actress and filmmaker, popularly known as IfeDike disclosed this in her posted on X.

She scored 292 votes of the 5,718 polling units across the state to defeat five other candidates in the race.

Expressing gratitude to the teeming supporters for believing in her, the AAC Candidate extended a personal invitation to them, saying she could not wait to have a lunch with them.

“Dear 292 Solidarity voters, when can we have lunch, wine and hug? I can’t wait. Thank you. I love you,” she posted on X.

Ifemeludike’s campaign emphasized grassroots development, solar energy initiatives, subsidized education, and improved state security.

She leveraged her background as a “female unionist” and former AAC chairperson to advocate for practical and inclusive governance.

“Dear 292 Solidarity voters, when can we have lunch, wine and hug? I can’t wait. Thank you. I love you…”
